Terry Gilliam

Terrence Vance Gilliam (born 22 November 1940) is an American-born British screenwriter, film director, animator, actor and member of the Monty Python comedy troupe. Gilliam is also known for directing several films. He is the only "Python" not born in Britain, but gained British citizenship in 1968.

Meanwhile the troupe rescues Tony that was hanged on a bridge by the Russians that explains why he had been chased and he joins the group.
